What an audacious thing- to call this day "good". The word "excruciating" comes from the word crucify. Imagine: the torture of the cross was so brutal, so inhuman, that we had to come up with new words to describe it. Jesus suffered, both physically and spiritually, and died, at once, the most holy and sin laden man who ever lived- for you. So we could be with him always. That's what we remember today.
