Day 3 Oh how He loves you!

Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord of old has appeared. The Lord has appeared of old unto me saying Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, with loving kindness have I drawn you.”

Today as you read these words, consider this; God loves you. And because He loves you, He has drawn you to Himself. Think of the many circumstances of life; the good times, the hard times, the places you have been, the things you have done. Today, this day, the Sovereign God, the Almighty God, the God we know as Jesus, has brought you to this place for one purpose; so that you will think about His love for you. His love is without end, everlasting. His love is unconditional, you can do nothing to qualify for His love or to cause Him to stop loving you. Through all the events of your life, day by day, moment by moment, His loving kindness, His mercy, and His grace, have been drawing you to Himself. Drawing you, with one motive, that He may lavish His love on you.

There are many things in life that are important. You may have very important plans scheduled for today. But consider this before you move on. There is nothing more important than knowing with absolute rock solid assurance that God loves you. Every event or issue of life will ultimately fall away and you have only one event left, death. At that moment knowing the love of God will mean literally everything. Ponder the great love this wonderful God has for you.

You are blessed because God loves you.

Just For Today

Posted By slowman on August 31, 2010

Just for Today …
.. smile at a stranger
.. listen to someone’s heart
.. drop a coin where a child can find it
.. learn something new, then teach it to someone
.. tell someone you’re thinking of them
.. hug a loved one
.. don’t hold a grudge
.. don’t be afraid to say “I’m sorry”
.. look a child in the eye and tell them how great they are
.. don’t kill that spider in your house, he’s just lost so show him the way out
.. look beyond the face of a person into their heart
.. make a promise, and keep it
.. call someone, for no other reason than to just say “Hi”
.. show kindness to an animal
.. stand up for what you believe in
.. smell the rain, feel the breeze, listen to the wind
.. use all your senses to their fullest
.. cherish all your TODAYS

And Then There Were None

And Then There Were None

10 little Christians standing in line, 1 disliked the preacher, then there were 9.
9 little Christians stayed up very late, 1 overslept Sunday, then there were 8.
8 little Christians on their way to Heaven, 1 took the low road and then there were 7.
7 little Christians chirping like chicks, 1 disliked music, then there were 6.
6 little Christians seemed very much alive, but one lost his interest then there was 5.
5 little Christians pulling for Heaven’s Shore, but one stopped to rest, then there were 4.
4 little Christians each busy as a bee, 1 got his feelings hurt, then there were 3.
3 little Christians knew not what to do, 1 joined the sporty crowd, then there were 2.
2 little Christians, our rhyme is nearly done, differed with each other, then there was 1.

1 little Christian can’t do much ’tis true, brought his friend to bible study, then there were 2.
2 earnest Christians, each won one more. That doubled the number, then there were 4.
4 sincere Christians worked early and late. Each won another then there were 8.
8 splendid Christians if they doubled as before. In just so many Sundays, we’d have 1,024.

In this little jingle, there is a lesson true, you belong either to the building or to the wrecking crew!

God is eternal.

Posted By slowman on July 25, 2010

The Bible starts with four very profound words:
In the beginning God … Genesis 1:1
There are no opening arguments for the existence of God—it is assumed he exists. God is just there.

God has been there all along.
God existed before plants, animals and people, before the earth and the universe.
He had no beginning and he will have no end.
God has always been and will always be.
The Bible says that God has existed from everlasting past to everlasting future.
God is eternal.

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth … from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
Psalm 90:2 NIV

God-Breathed

Posted By slowman on July 13, 2010

All Scripture is God-Breathed – 2 Timothy 3:16
God gave us his word through the profits and apostles and teachers he chose. It is his word. You can accept this or reject this but it does not make it less true.

You must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along - 2 Peter 1:20-21

In the beginning God … Genesis 1:1
God exist, God is there, God Created all things

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made John 1:1-3

Jesus is God, Creation was through Him!
